Obedience for divine Settlement
"That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them." (Deuteronomy 30:20)

In this passage under review, obedience is a vital key to divine settlement. The easiest way to dwell or settle in the land which God gave to the children of Israel was for them to obey the Lord. Wisdom demands that if we want God to settle us, we must be willing to obey Him.

What is obedience?
Obedience is compliance with an order, request, law or submission to another’s authority. Obedience is also about hearing and doing the word of God.

As children of God, we are called to live a life of obedience, not disobedience. Benefits or profits are packaged in obedience, not in disobedience!

Let's consider 3 benefits of obedience.

1. Benefit of enjoying the good of the land!
"If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:" (Isaiah 1:19)

Obedience can secure us the land! Obedience can make us eat the good of the land! Many believers have been praying and fasting to enjoy the good of the land, not knowing that the good or best of the land is reserved for the obedient!

2. Benefit of wellness
"Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God." (Jeremiah 42:6)
It is when we live a life of obedience that we connect with the benefit of wellness. Do you want it to be well with you? Then consider living a life of obedience forthwith!

3. Benefit of eternal salvation
"And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;" (Hebrews 5:9)

The most outstanding benefit of obedience is eternal salvation. There is no earthly benefit of obedience that can be compared to eternal salvation. The Bible says, "For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his soul?" (Mark 8:36)

I decree and declare that you shall enjoy all the benefits of obedience forthwith in Jesus mighty name.

Yours sincerely,
Joe Jesimiel Ogbe
