Understanding Impartation
"For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;" Romans 1:11
To impart simply means “to give, convey, or grant.” Impartation is the act of giving or granting something to someone. In our context, it is about giving or transference of spiritual gifts or unction from a higher spiritual vessel to another vessel.
Let's consider 3 ways to be imparted:
1. Association
"And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them."
1 Samuel 10:10
Saul was imparted via association!
Who you relate or associate with matters a great deal. If you find yourself in the midst of prophets you are most likely going to be Imparted to prophesy like Saul.
2. Hand laying
"And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses."
Deuteronomy 34:9
Joshua son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. Whoever lays hands on you is imparting or transmitting spirit into your life.
Beware of who you allow to lay hands on you!
3. Words
"And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me."
Ezekiel 2:2
Words are spirit. In John 6:63, Jesus said, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." We are imparted via the words spoken into our lives.
Beware of who you are listening to regularly or who you allow to speak into your life!
I decree and declare that you will be Imparted by godly and God anointed vessels in Jesus mighty name.
Yours sincerely,
