Chosen for Exaltation

"The God of this person of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with a high arm brought him out of it."Acts 13:17

The truth is that your current nasty circumstance is not a limitation or disadvantage to God! As He works through all manner of ways and situations to perfect His plans for His chosen people.

God has the ability and power to change your current status to a glorious one! Where you find yourself right now is open to change and transformation. God who chose His people in Egypt and exalted them is still in the business of transforming people.

You are next on the line! As slaves in a foreign land, children of Israel never thought or imagined they could enjoy exaltation or freedom. They thought God had abandoned them! But what a fallacy! God does not abandon His chosen people.

Are you one of the chosen people of God via Jesus Christ? If yes, then you will never be abandoned or forsaken! Amen! Our Lord Jesus Christ enjoyed exaltation from the Father. The Bible says, "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:" Philippians 2:9

God exalted His Son to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, and that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.

Factors that provoke Exaltation:

1. Factor of Humility

Humility is a key factor for Exaltation! The Bible says, "And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased, and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted." Matthew 23:12

Before Jesus was exalted, He humbled Himself in obedience to the Father. This obedience led to His death, and not just any kind of death, the most humiliating kind of death. To the Jew, if you were executed on a cross you were bearing the curse of God. Death on the cross was the most shameful form of execution. It’s a kind of death reserved for the most sinful criminals.

Jesus was treated as a criminal but now He is seated with the Father in heaven. Don't mind the way you are being treated now, your promotion is on the way. People who dislike you now will soon celebrate you!

2. Factor of Obedience

God rewards obedience! Are you an obedient child of God in the class of Jesus Christ? Then be rest assured that your obedience will soon be rewarded, here on earth and thereafter in heaven. But know that your future reward from God is directly related to what we do in this age. Are you serving the Lord diligently and heartily?

The Bible says,
"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ." (Colossians 3:23-24)

3. Factor of Suffering

What is suffering? Suffering is the state of undergoing pain, distress or hardship. Before the Children of Israel enjoyed exaltation and freedom they suffered in Egypt. Are you suffering in one area or the other in your life right now? Don't worry, as God, your gracious Father is about to step in to make a difference.

Please note that "Suffering a while" is healthy and Biblical. Apostle Peter said, "But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you." (1 Peter 5:10)

You need patience when "Suffering a while" as you will soon be settled with exaltation and freedom!

I decree and declare that you will enjoy exaltation in Jesus mighty name!

Yours sincerely,
Joe Jesimiel Ogbe
