"Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams. Genesis 37:20
Joseph's siblings were his potential dream killers! Period! Their plans or conspiracy to kill Joseph was in effect designed to stop his dreams from becoming a practical reality.
Do you have a dream like Joseph? Don't be worried or perturbed as God is well able to help you realize your dreams. Don't bother as God will cause every obstacle to work in your favour! Are you aware that the pit, portiphar's house and prison worked powerfully for the realization of Joseph's dream.
Please know that every God given dream has God's absolute support for fulfilment. No devil or man can thwart God's ordained vision or dream. All you need to do is to be sensitive and wise in handling potential dream killers!
Watch out for these dream killers:
1. Your inner circle people
No body is immune to influence!
Whether you believe it or not, your inner circle family members or friends can influence you positively or negatively as far as the issue of dream is concerned. Do you know that even Jesus had issues with His family? Rather than being excited about His mission, His brothers chose to ridicule Him. The honest truth is that you must be wary of your close friends as they also could become your dream killers. Any friend who does not encourage your dream is a dream killer in the making and must be wisely or diplomatically sidelined.
2. Your inner fears
There is nothing that pulls down lofty ambitions or dreams like fears.
What is fear? Fear is a feeling or an emotion induced by perceived danger or threat that occurs in us. Some people have fear that their dreams will never be realized. As such, they are never prepared or willing to work toward the realization of their dream. Fear will always raise its ugly head if you want to pursue a spectacular dream or vision. Fight your fears!
Don't allow it to demobilize you, rather allow faith to spur you into achieving results. Try to fraternize with bold and courageous people who will inject you with boldness and courage. Pray vehemently against the spirit of fear. Don't forget Satan remains the source of fear. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)
3. Satanic Manipulation
Satan is the arch enemy of all good things, and this includes dreams and visions!
His mission is to kill people and their dreams. The Bible says,
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)
To fight against satanic interference or manipulation, you have to deliberately and concertedly come under the canopy of God. With God on your side, Satan and his cohorts will not be able to manipulate you out of your dream!
Prayer: I decree and declare that your God-ordained dream shall be practically established in Jesus mighty name!
