How to bear much Fruits
"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." John 15:5
Our bumper harvest of fruitfulness is a function of our connection to the vine. And Jesus Christ is the vine and we are His branches. No branch can bear any fruit except it is attached or joined to the vine. No branch can bear fruit all by itself! No! Not at all!

So also none of us can amount to anything outside of Christ! Jesus Christ Himself said in the passage under review,
"... without me ye can do nothing." It is pertinent to know that our maximum fruitfulness is all about intimacy with Him.
When we are joined with Christ intimately and organically our fruitfulness is sure to be abundant. But if we are disconnected or separated from Him, we can't produce a thing. If we don't want to be as deadwood which is only good for bonfire, then we must make ourselves at home with Christ.

What's the meaning of the word, "abide"? It means to "live or dwell" Abiding in Christ is "living or dwelling in Christ" It means making Christ our home of residence where we remain or stay permanently. It is about having a habit of constant close communion with Him!

3 ways to remain attached to Christ:

1. Place value on His Word
The value we place on His Word will determine how much of His Word we put within our hearts! And the much of His Word we have, will determine much of fruit we bear. We bear much fruits if we allow His word to dwell in us richly. The Bible says,
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom..."Colossians 3:16
As we read and study the Bible, we must try by all means to memorize or internalize His sayings and precepts continually in our hearts.

2. Love Him sincerely!
God manifested His love toward us by sending His Son into the world that we might live through Him.

His Son, Jesus Christ demonstrated His love toward us by laying down His life for us. We can only bear much fruit through love. Any fruit we bear without love is useless! That was why Jesus Christ wanted to be sure of Peter's love for Him. The Bible says,

"So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs." John 21:15
Our intimacy with Christ should be on the platform of sincere love for Him.

3. Engage in Word Practice!
By engaging or doing His word practically, we validate our attachment to Him. It is not enough to have His words stored in our hearts! Except His words guide our actions, we cannot claim to dwell in Christ.

His words should define our daily conduct and behavior. Our thoughts should line up with His teachings and commands. We deceive ourselves if we only hear His words but without corresponding action. Doing His words is a validation or proof that we are abiding in Him.

Today, I decree and declare that you will command fruitfulness this year beyond your widest imagination in Jesus mighty name!

Yours sincerely,
