"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." Acts 10:38
It takes the empowerment of the Holy Ghost for us to do good.
If Jesus Christ the patterned Son of God could be anointed by God to do good, we too should seek the anointing. As no one can do good acceptably without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. God is a good God, and He only can empower us to do good. The Bible says,
"Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way." Psalm 25:8

Let's consider 5 reasons why we need the anointing to do good:

1. Because many of us are accustomed to do evil.
"Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil."Jeremiah 13:23

"I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me."Romans 7:21

2. Because God is the Maker of all good things, as such He has the power and capacity to make us do good.
"And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day." Genesis 1:31

3. Because God is pleased when we do good.
"But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased." Hebrews 13:16

4. Because we shall dwell in the land and be fed if we do good.

"Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed." Psalm 37:3
Because we are instructed to do good, and it is to our benefit if we do good.
"Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts." Psalm 125:4
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" Matthew 5:44
"As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." Galatians 6:10
I decree and declare that you will experience goodness always even as you continually do good in Jesus mighty name.

Yours sincerely,
